General Rebate Program
Applications are due by Oct. 10 with work completed and documentation submitted by Oct. 31, 2025.
The General Rebate Program is open to all Boulder County residents, including all municipalities and the City of Boulder, who own or rent a home in Boulder County to which the eligible wildfire mitigation actions apply. Qualifying work and materials must be used on the property located in Boulder County.
If you received a wildfire mitigation rebate in 2024, you can apply again in 2025 BUT you’ll need to choose a different mitigation action to qualify.
For example, if you received a rebate last year for Junk Your Junipers, you will need to pick one or more of the other five eligible mitigation actions this year to take part again.
For 2025, the following wildfire mitigation actions are eligible for the general rebate:
Please click on each item above to learn more about requirements for each specific mitigation action.
For mitigation work to qualify for this rebate program, all work performed and materials purchased must have been purchased and performed after June 18, 2024, when the Rebate Program began.
The following actions are NOT eligible for the 2025 rebate program: weed whacking, tree removal, slash chipping/removal, applying fire retardant stain or paint to fences, planting vegetation, or enclosing spaces under decks.
1. You apply to the program by Oct. 10, 2025. You will receive an email regarding the status of your application. (Check your spam/junk folder if you don’t see it in your inbox.)
2. You complete the eligible mitigation activities and *submit your before/after pictures and any receipts, itemized invoices, and/or time logs for verification and approval by Oct. 31, 2025. Please allow 2-4 weeks for verification and approval of your rebate claim.
*If you plan to do more than one of the eligible mitigation activities, you must submit them all on the same claim under one application. Please do not submit them as separate applications.
3. You receive the rebate payment.
If you chose the Virtual Card option, you will receive an email from rewarddelivery@hawkmarketplace.com. This email will contain instructions, a link, and a reward code for how to redeem the virtual card. The virtual Mastercard can typically be used wherever Debit Mastercard is accepted; with the exception of gas pumps, ATMs, cash access, and recurring payments.
If you chose the Physical Card option, you will receive your physical card via USPS to the address attached to your claim.
*The rebate expires 6 months after the date it was issued.

There are various apps that can be downloaded on your smartphone to help you identify specific types of vegetation by taking a picture of the leaves. Additionally, you can use an internet search to find pictures of junipers.
Fire-resistant or ember-resistant vents are designed specifically with honeycombs or snake-like patterns inside of the vent to block the embers from entering the vent system. There is the same amount of air flow due to the unique technology behind the vent. These vents are tested, fire rated, and easily customizable to fit any shape within your home to secure every opening.
Wildfire Partners encourages you to complete the entire perimeter given that doing one or two sides will not adequately protect the house in an ember shower.
You have until October 31, 2025 to complete your wildfire mitigation activities and submit your claim documentation on your resident portal.
All claims must include before and after pictures to receive a rebate.
