A Boulder County government wildfire mitigation program focused on helping residents prepare for and reduce wildfire risk through education, assessment, and support services. - Mission statement:
To educate, motivate, and support Boulder County residents in preparing for future wildfires. - History:
Established in 2014 to serve western Boulder County, Wildfire Partners expanded to serve all of Boulder County following the 2021 Marshall Fire and 2022 voter approval of a countywide wildfire mitigation tax, which provides dedicated funding for home assessments, mitigation support, and community-wide wildfire preparedness. - Service area:
All of Boulder County, Colorado, including mountains, foothills, and plains communities. Service area varies by program. - Core services:
Custom home wildfire risk assessments and certification (certification only available for West Boulder County), community programs, free chipping, financial assistance opportunities, and education/outreach.
